With winter now upon us, conditions are truly unimaginable for those sleeping rough. Regardless, our team are on the ground everyday alongside RCK (Refugee Community Kitchen) and the Refugee Women's Centre providing support.
Finally though, with such deadly temperatures being reached, the French government has agreed to provide shelter and facilities to those in the area over these colder months. Although it is not intended to be a long term solution and the centre is already reaching maximum capacity, it will ease pressure off the smaller groups operating here and more importantly help prevent any similar tragedies to those that have occurred in Greece.
We will of course continue to work as always between the centre and those still living elsewhere, providing mobile support to whoever may need it. We do however need all the support we can get this time of year to continue operations, so if you can, please donate.
