*UPDATE FROM THE GROUND IN DUNKIRK*
This morning French police forces stormed through the Grande-Synthe camp, waking people violently and destroying tents.
As we walked through the 'jungle' after the clearance we were swarmed by panicked parents, left sat in the dirt with small children and their few remaining belongings.
Today's eviction has left hundreds of people without any protection from the dangerous afternoon heat or shelter for the night ahead.
We estimate at least 150 tents have been taken and destroyed today, along with hundreds of sleeping bags and personal possessions, such as clothes and even bags of food and cooking equipment.
Despite the clearance, this remains the largest single settlement in North-France with around 500 people and over 70 small children.
We need your support now more than ever, whether materially or financially, we need your help.
