This is the reality of the situation for displaced people in Dunkirk, one week on from the eviction.
Of the hundreds that have already returned to the area, a vast majority are sleeping rough. Many in under-passes, hidden in patches of woodland or in ditches.
Volunteers on the ground hear stories daily of police destroying tents and preventing any attempts at creating shelter or settling.
With temperatures now plummeting it is becoming increasingly dangerous to sleep outside. Regardless, we continue to see new families and individuals arriving each day, willing to endure these inhumane conditions.
