It has been nearly a year and a half since we began our collaboration with the incredible Refugee Community Kitchen (RCK). Every Wednesday we head out to the Dunkirk area and serve hundreds of portions of their delicious and nutritious soup.
In addition to this weekly collaboration, RCK offer huge support to our personalised food pack project. We gratefully make use of donated non-bulk items they are unable to incorporate into dishes.
We do our utmost to ensure the food packs we offer are both culturally appropriate and and highly nutritious, vital for people sleeping rough and always on the move. It is currently the first week of Ramadan and for those that are fasting it is a particularly testing time.
There are some specific foods that we distribute on a daily basis that we are always in need of. Culturally familiar items such as dates, dried fruits & nuts become hugely expensive to provide for such a large population and we rely entirely upon donations to purchase them in bulk.
Our needs list is regularly updated and can be found on our website or you can contact us direct to see what is currently most needed.
