Persistent Daily Evictions

Once again, three weeks on from the initial major eviction of the main settlement in Dunkirk, we find ourselves catering to people whose essential items were confiscated the previous morning.

As the torrential rain soaks through what little the residents of Puythouck have left, we provide warm soup made by the Refugee Community Kitchen, and do our best to find solutions to the desperate need caused by the authorities' persistent clearances. Tonight, while the wind rips through the woodland and more storms descend on Northern France, many people will go without the equipment they have been relying upon the past few weeks.

With the population not depleting and the authorities refusing to relent or compromise, something desperately needs to change. It's only a matter of time until we're deep into the next winter. We need your support now more than ever to prepare for the coming weather and maintain the services we provide every day for this population of over 500 people.
