The past two weeks have seen continued police evictions and a steady rise in the population. With no winter accommodation being provided for the majority of people, hundreds are now living in unimaginable conditions.
Almost the entire camp has become completely waterlogged and huge areas of the site where people previously had tents are now underwater. The few areas that are not flooded are now thick mud and marshland.
Our volunteers are onsite everyday distributing vital items to the community and providing our usual range of static services. The demand for essentials such as waterproof boots and warm waterproof jackets is massive.
With so many people requiring so many different things, it is very hard for our distribution team to give every individual the time they need. We are currently in great need of volunteers, if you would like to know more, please get in contact via Facebook or our website.
